Is this actually different from a spreadsheet?

Domara is optimised for renovations — the daily cost model assumes you already own the property. For new builds with a builder contract, a traditional project management tool may be a better fit. Owner-builder projects work well in Domara.

Your data stays. Pro never expires. You can export everything, reference it for tax time, or use it as a baseline for your next renovation. Nothing gets deleted unless you ask.

Where we have coverage, benchmarks come from real renovation data near you — what a bathroom actually costs, how long an electrician actually takes, what trades are quoting this month. We began calibrating in Perth; the same philosophy applies as we add regions.

What is the daily cost counter?

Your daily cost is what the property costs you every day you own it but can't use it — mortgage repayments, insurance, council rates, and lost rental income. Domara calculates this automatically and shows you a running total, so you always know the real cost of delays.

How does receipt scanning work?

Take a photo of a receipt, and Domara extracts the vendor, amount, date, and GST. It suggests a category and zone, and you confirm or adjust. The expense is logged against your budget instantly.

The critical path is the longest chain of dependent tasks in your project — the sequence that determines your overall completion date. Domara identifies it automatically, so you know exactly which tasks to prioritise.

Your data is stored in Australia (Sydney, ap-southeast-2) on Supabase infrastructure. We don't store your data overseas.

Can I export my data?

Yes. Export your project data as CSV or Excel at any time. Pro users also get accountant-ready tax export formats. Your data is yours.

Do you use my data to train AI models?

No. Your project data is never used to train AI models. When we use AI features (like receipt parsing), your data is processed but not retained for training.

Is my financial data secure?

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use row-level security so users can only access their own projects. We don't store bank account details or payment card numbers.
