Terms of Service

1. Service Description

Domara is a renovation project management tool that helps you track costs, timelines, tasks, and decisions for property renovation projects. The service includes budget tracking, task management, zone/room organisation, milestone tracking, vendor management, and reporting features.

2. No Financial Advice

Domara displays holding costs, cost-of-delay calculations, budget projections, and financial summaries. These are estimates and tools for your own tracking purposes only — they do not constitute financial, tax, or investment advice. Calculations are based on the data you enter and may not reflect your actual financial position. You should consult a qualified accountant, financial adviser, or tax professional for financial decisions related to your renovation project.

3. No Trade Quality Guarantee

Domara allows you to track tradies, vendors, and suppliers, but we do not vet, endorse, insure, or guarantee the quality of any tradesperson's work. Vendor information stored in Domara is provided by you for your own reference. Any arrangement with a tradesperson is solely between you and them.

4. Accuracy of Estimates

Lead times, benchmark data, AI-generated suggestions, and any other estimates provided by Domara are indicative only. They are based on aggregated data and algorithms that may not reflect your specific circumstances, location, or project complexity. You should always verify estimates independently before making decisions.

4a. AI-Assisted Operations

Domara uses AI tools to maintain and improve the platform — including automated testing, system monitoring, and documentation quality checks. These tools operate on our source code and infrastructure, not on your data. All AI-generated content within the application (estimates, suggestions, analysis) is clearly labelled. A human reviews and approves all changes that affect you — including feature changes, communications, and data handling practices.

4b. AI-Generated Content and Companion

Domara offers AI-powered features including a renovation companion, receipt scanning, inspection analysis, cost benchmarks, and text suggestions. These features provide general information only — they do not constitute professional advice of any kind, including financial, tax, legal, building, or trade advice.

AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your specific circumstances. You acknowledge that you use AI-generated content at your own risk and that you are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on such content. You should independently verify any AI-generated information before relying on it.

5. Your Responsibilities

When using Domara, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful data
  • Keep your login credentials secure and not share them with others
  • Not upload illegal, offensive, or infringing content
  • Not attempt to access other users' data or interfere with the service
  • Use the service in compliance with all applicable laws

6. Intellectual Property

Domara owns all rights to the platform, including its design, code, and features. You retain ownership of all data you enter into Domara — your project information, photos, financial records, and other content remain yours. You can export your data at any time (see Settings > Account > Export My Data).

6a. Subscriptions, Billing, and Refunds

Domara offers free and paid subscription plans. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to the following:

  • Billing cycle— subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance, in Australian dollars (AUD). Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
  • Payment processing— payments are processed securely by Stripe. Domara does not store your card details.
  • Price changes— we may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. The new price applies at your next renewal. If you do not agree to the price change, you may cancel before the renewal date.
  • Cancellation— you may cancel your subscription at any time from Settings > Account > Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access to paid features until then.
  • Refunds— we do not offer refunds for change of mind or partial billing periods. However, if the service has a major failure (as defined under Australian Consumer Law), you are entitled to a refund. Contact support@domara.com.au for refund requests.
  • Free tier— the free plan has no time limit. We will not remove access to your data if you choose not to subscribe to a paid plan.

7. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings > Account > Delete Account. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or are used for unlawful purposes, with notice where reasonably practicable.

7a. No Warranty

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Domara makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose of the service, its content, or any AI-generated outputs. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Domara's total liability for any claim arising from or related to the service is limited to the fees you have paid to Domara in the 12 months preceding the claim. Domara is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Australian Consumer Law.

8a. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Domara, its officers, and contractors from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the service; (b) your breach of these terms; (c) your reliance on AI-generated content or estimates for financial, tax, legal, or investment decisions; or (d) any data or content you upload to or share through the service.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia. You agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia for any dispute arising from or related to these terms or your use of Domara.

10. Dispute Resolution

If you have a dispute with us, we ask that you first contact us at support@domara.com.au so we can attempt to resolve it informally. If we cannot resolve the dispute within 30 days, either party may refer the matter to mediation. If mediation is unsuccessful, the dispute may be referred to the courts of Western Australia.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you by email and display a notice within the application. Your continued use of Domara after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
